The good news is that you do not need anything complicated. The outfits that photograph best are usually the ones that feel simple, comfortable and softly coordinated.
Start with soft, neutral tones
For family photography, soft neutral colours usually photograph the most beautifully. Creams, whites, beige, soft greys, warm browns and muted earthy tones all work well in a studio setting.
These colours keep the focus on your faces, your connection and the emotion in the portraits, rather than drawing attention to the clothing first.
Coordinate, don’t match exactly
The goal is not for everyone to wear the exact same thing. Instead, aim for outfits that sit well together.
